As Headteacher I am proud to welcome you to our school. This website aims to give you a feel for life here at Carter's Charity Primary, and also provide regular information for both parents and children.

Our school is at the heart of our community in Preesall, with a unique outdoor learning offer due our unique location, with both a Forest and Beach school outdoor learning offer in our school grounds and beyond.  There are now 170+ children on-roll, taught in seven single-aged classes. The school is open 38 weeks term time, and children can be on-site from 7:30am until 6:00pm daily in our superstars wrap around care facility. We also offer our own local bus both before and after school, to support parents getting their children to and from school. 

Our commitment is to provide an excellent education for your children, and be assured that the children are, and will always be at the heart of all of our decisions. They are the VIP's in our school building.  At Carter's we passionately believe it is every child’s entitlement to receive an education that is enriching, we further believe in nurturing and inspiring every child to reach their potential in all areas of the curriculum, so children become confident, articulate, well-rounded individuals, who have a life-long thirst for learning that will enable them to become valued contributors to communities and life in general.

Finally, we are passionate about building strong relationships with parents and families in order to secure the best outcomes for all of our children. It is not only your child that joins our very special school, it’s the whole family.
