Carter's Charity Primary School

We are Reading Day

Next Friday, 21st September, is a celebration of all things book – “We are Reading” Day. Over 300 schools have taken up this campaign and our school is aiming to have fun sharing our favourite books, stories and authors. On the day, we will have a wonderful author, Robert Bullock, in school working with everyone and sharing his tips, ideas and stories with the whole school. We are NOT dressing up as we have so many other dressing up days but we think it might be a nice idea for the children to bring in a favourite teddy or pair of snuggly slippers so they can relax into a good story. We will be closing our day with a Story café for you all to join us for some bookish treats! Celebration Assembly will be at 9:15 am on that day.

There is still time to get your entries in for the “READING CHALLENGE". Send in a photo of yourself reading in an unusual location. There are prizes for the best Infant, Junior and Adult entry!
