Parent Governor Election September 2022
We currently have vacancies for three parent governors. We welcome nominations from all parents.
Vacancies have arisen for three parent governors as both Mrs Cardwell and Mr Muldoon have tendered their resignation due to them both having changes to their personal circumstances, and Mrs Hall’s term of office ending soon. You may, if you wish, put yourself forward for election, using the nomination form. Please read the information given with this form.
The timetable for the election is:-
- Nomination form to be returned by 12.00 noon on Monday 26th September;
- Ballot papers to be sent to all parents on Tuesday 27th September. (Voting will only take place if there are more nominations than vacancies)
- Ballot papers to be returned to me by 12.00 noon on Tuesday 4th October;
- The votes will be counted at 4 pm on Tuesday 4th October after which the result will be announced.
Governors provide support and challenge within school and play an important role in our success and development, and I do hope you will be able to take part in this election by becoming a candidate or by casting your vote when the time comes.
If you think that you might like to put yourself forward, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we will answer any questions that you might have. Our current parent governors are also willing to answer any questions – Mrs Hall (mum of Albi [Y1] and Amelie[Y5]), Mrs Larsen (mum of Harriet[Y5]) or Mrs Lancaster (mum of Twizz[Y5]).
The aim is to have the new governors in place for the Autumn meeting of our full governing board on November 21st.
If you are considering applying or require any further information about being elected to the governing body, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Hassett.
