Operation Encompass
The school is taking part in a project that runs jointly between schools and Lancashire Constabulary.
Operation Encompass involves the reporting to schools, prior to the start of the next school day, any domestic abuse, which involves any of our children or families.
Operation Encompass ensures that a member of the school staff, known as a Key Adult, is trained to allow them to liaise with the police and to use the information that has been shared, in confidence, while ensuring that the school is able to make provision for possible difficulties experienced by children, or their families, who have been experienced a domestic abuse incident. Please note that our lead DSL is the headteacher, Mr Brendan Hassett, while we also have a team of deputy DSLs that supports the safety and wellbeing of all in school.
