We have identified 4 stages of education that will occur depending on the situation at the time:
STAGE 1
|
SCHOOL LEARNING
|
|
- Teacher will plan curriculum and teach class as normal
|
STAGE 2
|
HOME LEARNING
If individual children are absent due to symptoms, family symptoms or other reason:
|
|
- Children still in school will work at Stage 1
- Work to be shared using Dojo each day based on what the rest of the class will be studying that day
- Use links to White Rose for teaching videos and worksheets
- Prepare English work based around text of the week
- One other activity linked to those in class that day/week.
- This action MUST be done before the end of lunch on 1st day of absence and then before 10:30am each subsequent day of absence
- Expectation made to families that if child is well, work must be completed each day and evidence or work itself uploaded on to the child’s Dojo Portfolio each day
- Feedback will be given on children’s work 2/3 times per week
- If no contact between home and school is made for at least 1 full day, school will contact family to check status and insist upon completion of tasks
|
STAGE 3
|
BLENDED LEARNING
If more than 5 children in class are having to isolate, it makes it difficult for class teachers to monitor both home and school learning so following will occur:
|
|
- Class teacher will refer to Remote Learning Plan and teach this to both home & school groups
- Class teacher will create “bingo card” plan for children and families and share on Dojo.
- If children who are absent have chosen paper remote learning, packs will be prepared and available for collection as soon as possible.
- This will be shared with families at home using online platform and monitored at set times during the day.
|
STAGE 4
|
REMOTE LEARNING
If class or school is subject to lockdown either due to positive case(s) or due to national instruction:
|
|
- Class teacher will refer to Remote Learning Plan
- Class teacher will create “bingo card” plan for children and families and share on Dojo.
- If children have chosen paper remote learning, packs will be prepared and available for collection as soon as possible.
- The Remote Learning protocol and timetable will be followed
